Hybla Valley Community Center Annual Trunk or Treat Support
Description: On Monday, October 21st from 5 PM - 7 PM, we will be participating in a tabling event sponsored by Hybla Valley Community Center through their 3rd Annual Trunk or Treat. We will be participating at this event as a invitee to share information with the community about the services while providing attendees with candy as they trick or treat. We are looking to have 1 - 2 volunteers to lead our table as a rare outreach event where Ayuda staff will not be present at.
Responsible to: Our Volunteer Manager, Connor Paul, as well as Director of Development, Laura Trask
# of Volunteers Requesting: We are looking for 1 - 2 volunteers to join us and assist at our event for the whole two hours. The specific shift requirements and capacity still available is noted in the sign ups below. Individuals will need to pick up the candy and giveaway merch from our VA office either earlier in the day on the 21st or at some point during the week of Oct. 14th.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with table setup before the start of the event
- Serving as an Ayuda representative at our Trunk or Treat event table
- Connecting with passerby's to pass out candy to attendees and speak about the services we provide as an organization
- Managing the table including setting out additional materials and keeping a tidy/visually appealing space
Qualifications:
- Volunteers joining will need to be personable, outgoing, and engaging with strong public speaking skills and an ability to connect with individuals from any background.
