Whether you’re a chemist, educator, college student, media experts or simply love helping kids, join us this summer to introduce elementary and middle school students to hands‑on chemistry and STEAM activities.
All curriculum materials, safety equipment, and step by step lesson plans are provided, bring your enthusiasm and we’ll handle the rest. With 700 students participating in different sites, every role matters and every volunteer helps make the program memorable.

The Science Fuel (Academic & Industry Experts)Chemists; forensic scientists; cosmetic/formulation chemists; environmental scientists; R&D professionals; lab managers; university faculty; graduate and undergraduate science students.
The Heart & Soul (Community & Support Volunteers); educators; high school and college students; neighbors and community members for check‑in, student support at lab stations, setup/logistics, and crowd flow.
Additional needs Safety coordinators / lab supervisors; photographers and media volunteers; event coordinators and logistics leads.
Volunteer logistics & benefits
-Time commitment: Flexible shifts; typical sessions range from 2–6 hours.
-Training: Short orientation and activity walkthrough before your first shift.
