Support the Resident Services with our Kindergarten Kickoff event located in one of our properties near the Bluemont neighborhood in Arlington, VA.

This is a program led by staff; volunteers can expect to be standing, talking with families, managing an activity and being able to explain directions. Working with staff, other volunteers and families is required.
-Activity Station 4:00-7:30 PM- Volunteers will manage various stations (pre-reading, number sense, pre-writing, snacks, books) helping children and families through pre-set activities and then handing out give aways.
-Teacher Expectations 4:05-7:35 PM- Any current or recently former Kindergarten, pre-school, or first grade teachers willing to come be at a table to talk to families about what to expect, what skills or activities they should do this summer, etc
-Bilingual Floater 3:55-7:25 PM- Assist with other stations as needed but also provide translation when needed by residents. Languages needed are Spanish, Ahmaric, or Mongolian.
