APS seeks volunteers to engage with students as they work on various projects — encouraging conversation, building connections, and fostering a fun, mentorship-based environment. Volunteers may provide general English language support as needed. Responsibilities include preparing materials, signing students in, assisting with activities, and helping with clean-up at the end of each session.
- Volunteer Skills:
- Ability to redirect student behaviors appropriately
- Flexibility to adjust activities based on student needs
- Comfort communicating with individuals who may be most comfortable in another language
- Ability to occasionally lift and move items up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for 30 minutes or more
