Join OAR for a mini Listen & Learn at Washington-Liberty High School, followed by a Hypothermia Items Scavenger Hunt to support individuals and families impacted by the criminal legal system in Arlington
Volunteers will receive an introduction to OAR (www.OARonline.org) and our restorative, community-centered approach to journeying with neighbors returning from incarceration and individuals completing alternative sentencing and diversion options. You’ll learn more about who we are, the values that guide our work, and how you can help strengthen a community grounded in justice, joy, and liberation.
Then, we’ll send you off on the OAR Hypothermia Items Scavenger Hunt for neighbors returning from incarceration who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness during colder months. These items provide essential warmth, comfort, and care as participants take meaningful steps toward stability, wellness, and reconnection with loved ones.
Choose items from lists starting at $5. After collecting your items, we’ll meet you at OAR’s Welcome Center near the Courthouse Metro to drop them off, enjoy a brief tour of the space, and celebrate your impact on the community.
Open to individuals or groups; all ages welcome! More details once you register.
