Description

Wild Virginia's Campaign for Virginia's Water Future fights to protect the water we all depend on. We identify pollution sources, push for stronger permits, and demand state action where harm has already occurred. From pressuring agencies like the State Water Control Board and the Department of Environmental Quality to strengthening regulations through legal action and coalition-building, we work to create systemic change. PFAS are toxic "forever chemicals" that linger in the environment and build up in organisms. Scientific studies show that PFAS pose significant risk to people and wildlife. We are working to stop PFAS from being discharged by Arlington County's wastewater treatment plant. By pushing the state to enforce strong water protections, we're fighting for clean, safe water—right here in Arlington and across Virginia.
