The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Raise the Region Gala is scheduled for October 17th at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. Though a few volunteers would be wonderful to help us set up during the day, our greatest need is for support during the evening – from 4:00 – 10:30 pm. We are looking for support with our registration and checkout procedures, raffle sales, silent and live auctions, Stand Up and Pledge, and more.
Dinner is included, and parking is free.
Other information:
Shifts: Our preference will be to have volunteers who can be there for the full evening – that way if they are trained on registration, they will also be assigned to checkout as it uses the same system. If, however, someone wants to volunteer and can only be there for a part of the night, we can certainly find tasks that can be done independently during that time.
Age limit – we’d like to ask that volunteers are over 21. There is a lot of time spent on our feet that evening, so please ask volunteers to note of any mobility issues so that we can assign tasks accordingly.
Dress Code – Black Tie or all black. Volunteers are welcome to dress up if they want!
