Energy Masters, EcoAction Arlington and the Virginia Cooperative Extension have teamed up with the City of Alexandria to launch a new Programmable Thermostat Pilot!
Through this program, you will be trained to install thermostats in the homes of Chatham Square residents to help them more effectively reduce their energy use and save money on their utility bills. Chatham Square is located in Old Town Alexandria. This property is managed by ARHA, the Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority, and features 100 market rate townhomes and 52 subsidized rental homes where we will be focusing our efforts. We welcome individuals and groups to join this project. No experience is necessary!
The installation day will take place on July 26, 2025 from 8:30 am - 4 pm.
While no experience is necessary, we will be providing a 90 minute virtual training on July 23, 2025 from 6:30-8:00 pm. This training will include the purpose of the pilot, how to install the thermostats, and thermostat operations. A recording will be provided if you are not able to attend the virtual training, and hands-on training will be provided on installation day.
