Susan's Place is a group home for 6 formerly chronically homeless adults with mental health disabilities. Susan's Place provides long term housing to vulnerable individuals in need of support after transitioning out of homelessness. Susan's Place is staffed 24/7 and provide support services to residents. You will share hope and happiness with residents when the meals are delivered.
So, what are you signing up for?
- Preparing and delivering a meal for 6 residents once a month
- Creating a sense of community for residents
- Learning more about homelessness in our community and how you can help end it
Still interested? Great! The next step is to fill out a New Hope Housing volunteer application (found here: Volunteer Application - Get Started Today! - New Hope Housing) attending a one-hour volunteer orientation. Orientations are held twice a month and you will receive instructions once you complete your application!
This is a flexible opportunity for volunteers, as well as perfect for families with younger children.
