JK Black Oak Wildlife Sanctuary is an 89-acre globally rare wetland preserve located in Lucketts, Virginia. This unique ecosystem supports countless species of amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. It's in danger of being severely impacted by ongoing road improvement projects in the area, opening the door to conversations about the importance of habitat connectivity and nontraditional wildlife crossing opportunities.

Meet the Speaker!

Trinity is a native of Virginia and graduate of Christopher Newport University. Before joining Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, she served as a fellow with the Piedmont Environmental Council and worked on behalf of the Humane Society of the United States as a wildlife and animal welfare grassroots canvassing director. She has just completed her Masters in Conservation Science and Policy from George Mason University researching the history and implications of public access to private conservation lands. Outside of wildlife and conservation, she enjoys traveling, hiking and film photography.
