American Legion Post 139

The American Legion is a nonprofit serving veterans, past and present, who uphold a lifelong commitment to service. Our members include former service members, professionals, musicians, artists, and community leaders united by a shared responsibility to support each other and strengthen their communities. Guided by values forged in military service—integrity, accountability, and resilience—we provide veterans with resources and advocacy, lead community programs, and partner locally to improve lives

We are a veteran's organization that offers varying degrees of support to all ages of military veterans. We offer free legal help to members from our in-house legal office staffed by George Mason Law School. Additionally, veterans have access to our onsite VA benefits officer who assist veterans in preparing claims and obtaining their full military healthcare benefits through the VA. We offer ongoing live music and other events as in the post as well as social support from people who understand what you've been through.
