What We Do

Arlington CERT is a diverse, award-winning volunteer group that works with the County government to help our community prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Volunteers receive free training in disaster preparedness, triage, first aid, fire suppression, disaster psychology, terrorism awareness and more.

This volunteer training is open to all who live and work in Arlington.

Community members who complete training become volunteers and:

- receive a CERT ID badge, safety vest, backpack, and t-shirt

- are subscribed to our bimonthly newsletter with training and non-emergency volunteer opportunities to hone skills and to support community preparedness and first responders.

If a major local emergency happens and Arlington CERT is called to help, we will request volunteers by phone and email.
