We are an almost entirely volunteer-run organization made up of dedicated and caring DMV residents. At IROC, we believe the personal connections and relationships formed between our volunteers and the people they work with is both priceless and rare. We build on these strong relationships to meet a variety of needs and to build the kind of trust that allows people to feel comfortable asking for assistance.

The Immigrant and Refugee Outreach Center (IROC) welcomes newcomers by delivering immediate material support and long-term help for navigating life in the US. We strive to provide tools to build a strong foundation for a prosperous future in the US by forging strong community ties among both newcomers and volunteers. Our values are empathy, responsiveness, and flexibility to adapt to the evolving challenges of the resettlement process.
