Patient Support

Provide companionship through presence, conversation, reading, music, or quiet sittingEngage in life review and reminiscence activitiesOffer emotional support and active listeningAssist with light, non-medical comfort measures (e.g., adjusting pillows, offering a blanket)Support veteran patients through recognition programsFamily Support

Offer a supportive presence to family membersNormalize anticipatory grief and emotional responsesAdministrative Support (if requested by volunteer)

Assist with office tasks (filing, mailings, data entry)Support special events and memorial servicesPrepare admission or bereavement packets
