Help Community of Hope get diapers to families in our Housing and Maternal and Child Health Programs!

We need drivers to pick up our diaper donations from the DC Diaper Bank in Silver Spring, MD, and deliver them to our Conway Health and Resource Center in Ward 8/Southwest DC.

This opportunity takes place on the second or third Thursday of each month, usually between 10am and 1pm . There is also time for sorting diapers after delivery.

This is perfect for volunteers with a flexible daytime schedule who have a valid driver's license and large car, minivan, SUV, etc.

Volunteers should also have the physical ability to pick up and move boxes or trash bags full of diaper packs.

Volunteer: Games & Crafts with Families in DC Shelters (NW, SE & SW)

Join the club--Fam-Club!!  Please make room in your calendars to be a part of Fam-Club at Community of Hope's three family shelters across Washington, DC.  
What: Fam-Club is a fun and meaningful way for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of children and their families who are overcoming homelessness. Volunteers play games, do arts & crafts, get creative, and have fun with children and families living in Community of Hope's family shelters. 


Where and When:


Fam-Club sessions run from 5:30–8:00 PM at the following locations:

• Mondays & Tuesdays at The Aya (10-minute walk from the Navy Yard and Waterfront Metro stops).

• Tuesdays at Girard Street (near the Columbia Heights Metro stop.

• Wednesdays & Thursdays at The Triumph (plenty of free parking; bus ride from Southern Ave. Metro)

Who: We take individual volunteers or groups of up to six volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.

Volunteers can come once, regularly, or when it fits their schedule.  Please contact volunteer@cohdc.org if you would like to schedule a group.
