Support the Resident Services with our annual After School Program for 3-5th graders located in one of our properties near the Bluemont neighborhood in Arlington, VA.

This is a program led by staff; volunteers can expect:

-Set Up Assistance 4:00-5:00 PM (help set up stations, tables, chairs and other supplies needed. May involve pushing/pulling/lifting up to 15 lbs, crouching, standing, walking around.)

-Art Project Lead 4:30-5:30 PM (guide students with art project themes and help with ideas as needed)

-Group Tutoring 4:30-5:30 PM (provide tutoring (math or reading up to volunteer) with input of needs from students)

-1:1 Tutoring 4:30-5:30 PM (provide tutoring (math or reading up to volunteer) with input of students)

-Homework Help 4:30-5:30 PM (provide assistance for homework or assignments students may have)

-Break Down Assistance 5:00-6:00 PM (help clean up and organize areas used for the program, put up tables and chairs. May involve pushing/pulling/lifting up to 15 lbs, crouching, standing, walking around.)

Support the Resident Services with our new Tasting Thursday's program located in one of our properties near the Bluemont neighborhood in Arlington, VA. This program will allow residents to sample food options & to learn meal recipes from The People's Pantry located on site.

-Lead Cook 4:00-5:30 PM (Finalizing recipe choice with staff, cooking food options ahead of and while residents are arriving. Volunteer should be comfortable with food and brief moments in hot/cold temperatures.)

-Cooking Assistant 4:05-5:35 PM (assist cook serving food to residents who stop by sample station.)
