Volunteer: MLK Day: Rosie Riveters STEM Kit Packing
Age range: 13 years old and over
Description: The mantra Rosie Riveters repeats in our programs is "I may not know, but I know I can figure it out.” Rosie Riveters STEM Kits are designed to foster the same “We Can Do It” attitude and provide an accessible introduction to STEM.
Volunteers will work to pack hands-on STEM Kits which are delivered to local schools and community partners in order to provide hands-on STEM learning experiences for hundreds of kids in Arlington, VA. Each kit comes with everything needed to complete it and includes access to exclusive video content to support hands-on learning.
Rosie Riveters' staff will guide volunteers through the kit packing process. All materials will be provided and kits will be completed on site on Monday, January 19th. Nonprofit: Rosie Riveters
