Volunteer: Teachers Needed! The English Empowerment Center is currently seeking dedicated volunteers to teach English classes for adult learners at sites across Northern Virginia. Teachers play a vital role in helping adult learners build the language skills they need to thrive in their communities, workplaces, and daily lives. By leading engaging, supportive, and level-appropriate classes, teachers create a welcoming space where students can gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in English. They follow a provided curriculum, adapt lessons to meet the needs of their students, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. If you have experience in ESOL teaching and a desire to make a positive impact, join EEC and make a difference in the lives of immigrants and refugees in our community! Starting in September, the English Empowerment Center’s Beginning English Classes will meet twice per week for 12 weeks.
