Volunteer: Phoenix Bikes – Raisin' Ride: Sizzling Summer CenturyVolunteer with Phoenix Bikes on August 1 Thank you so much for your interest in volunteering for Phoenix Bikes' 14th Annual Raisin' Ride on Saturday, August 1. Phoenix Bikes is an Arlington nonprofit that uses bikes to build skills, confidence, and leadership that lasts. We also run a full-service bike shop located in the Arlington Mill Community Center. Raisin’ Ride is a family-friendly, fully-supported bike ride of up to 100 miles (a century!) along the W&OD Trail. It is our largest fundraiser of the year. Participants fundraise to benefit Phoenix Bikes and make a lasting impact on the lives of local youth. We have many volunteer roles to fill for the event, which begins and ends at the Arlington Mill Community Center located at the intersection of Columbia Pike and S. Dinwiddie St. Pit Stop Volunteers: Check in riders as they arrive at Pit Stops, distribute lunch, refill water, at the 4 Pit Stops along the W&OD Trail: Bikenetic (Falls Church), The Bike Lane (Reston), Plum Grove Cyclery (Leesburg), Harmony Bakeshop (Purcellville). Delivery Driver: This is a morning volunteer slot only. You'll pick up rider and volunteer lunches at the Arlington Mill Community Center and deliver them to each pit stop. Support Van Driver: Take a SAG (support and gear) Wagon shift to be "on call" for riders who have a breakdown or emergency on the route. To sign up, please visit: https://pblink.org/RaisinRideVolunteer Lunch will be provided to volunteers. We can only accommodate volunteers under the age of 18 if they have previous Phoenix Bikes experience or will be volunteering along with a parent/guardian for the duration of the time.
