Arlington Community High School (ACHS) is seeking dedicated volunteers to support our diverse student population through our tutoring program. Many of our students are adult learners, English Language Learners (ELLs), or individuals balancing work and family responsibilities while striving to earn their high school diploma. Your time and expertise can make a lasting impact on their educational journey.
Subjects & Areas of Support
Volunteers can provide tutoring in the following subjects:
✔ Math – Algebra, Geometry, and foundational math skills
✔ English & Writing – Reading comprehension, essay writing, and grammar support
✔ Science – ELD Science, Biology, Environmental Science, and Ecology
✔ Social Studies – ELD Social Studies, World Geography, VA/US History, VA/US Government, Economics, and Personal Finance
✔ English Language Support – Assisting ELL students in developing academic and everyday language skills.
