Through its afterschool program, Aspire provides academic support through lessons, homework help, and activities that support a student’s learning and exploration of new subjects. We also focus on strengthening their social-emotional and interpersonal skills and provide them hands-on learning experiences.
Volunteers at Aspire support students in the following ways:
- Read with kids one-on-one to develop and refine reading skills
- Serve as a mentor to our students
- Provide help with science, math, Spanish, and English homework
As a volunteer, you will increase literacy and improve reading skills, bolster overall academic achievement, and improve homework grades through small, intensive homework groups.
