Healthy Snacks for Students Volunteer Opportunity
Help keep students energized and ready to learn by creating snack bags filled with healthy, non-perishable items!
What You'll Do
- Learn & Serve: Begin with a mini listen & learn session about AHC’s affordable housing properties and educational programs. This in-person session will take place at Washington-Liberty High School and will prepare you to complete this DIY volunteer project on your own time.
- Shop & Pack: Leave W-L High School to purchase supplies at home, fill each bag with 3-4 non-perishable snack items, and aim to complete at least 20 snack bags.
- Get Creative: Decorate snack bags with uplifting messages, drawings, stickers, or jokes (optional).
What You'll Need
- Snack Supplies: A list of suggested items is available on the SignUpGenius link below and will also be provided at the MLK Day event.
- Decorating Supplies: Bring your own materials if you’d like to decorate the bags.
- Transportation: Deliver the completed snack bags to AHC's Arlington community centers.
Delivery Date: Tuesday, January 21, with some flexibility later in the week (excluding Monday, January 20).
