Position Overview:
We are looking for creative and results-driven Marketing and Communications Coordinators to help develop and execute marketing strategies for both our radio and television platforms. In this role, you will create promotional materials, manage public relations efforts, and enhance AIM’s visibility and engagement with the community. Time Commitment: 4-8 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Strategy Development and Implementation: Create and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for AIM’s radio and TV stations, focusing on increasing community engagement, listenership, and viewership.
- Content Creation and Management: Develop promotional materials, including newsletters, press releases, flyers, and digital content, to highlight AIM’s programming, special events, and community impact.
- Social Media Management: Collaborate with the Social Media Coordinator to maintain and update AIM’s social media platforms, creating compelling posts that drive engagement and promote upcoming programming and initiatives.
- Public Relations and Outreach: Build relationships with local media outlets, community organizations, and partners to increase the visibility of AIM’s mission and activities. Pitch stories, secure media coverage, and manage press inquiries.
- Brand Management and Consistency: Ensure all communications and marketing materials are consistent with AIM’s brand voice, values, and mission. Oversee the design and dissemination of promotional materials for various campaigns and events.
- Event Promotion: Coordinate promotional efforts for fundraising events, volunteer recruitment, workshops, and community outreach activities, ensuring strong attendance and participation.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communications efforts, providing regular updates and insights to the AIM team to refine strategies and improve engagement.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with other AIM volunteers, the Programming Directors, and community partners to align marketing and communications efforts with organizational goals.
Required Experience:
- Experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content for a variety of platforms.
- Ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that support organizational growth and community engagement.
Recommended Experience:
- Background in media marketing, nonprofit communications, or public relations.
- Experience promoting community media, arts organizations, or educational programming.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, graphic design software, or content management systems.
