Volunteer: Food Pantry DonationsSometimes life can get busy, and you cannot dedicate as much time as you would like in making an impact. At Aspire, we have opportunities that allow you to support learning and wellness in our community by donating to Aspire’s food pantry! Food pantry items support the holistic well-being of our students and families by reducing food insecurity and providing more accessibility to nutritious meals at home. This is especially needed during long weekends, holiday breaks, and times when students aren’t in school. In-demand items that we are currently accepting include: Maseca (corn flour) Oil Beans (dry or canned) Oatmeal (old fashioned) Sugar Rice Cereal Juices Noodles (pasta) Salsa/sauce for pasta Loose granola/granola bars Snack packs of food We are only able to accept the items listed above and are not accepting any frozen/refrigerated food at this time. Due to safety regulations, we are also not able to accept prepared foods such as sandwiches, leftover meals from catered events, sauces/jams made at home, or foods containing peanut butter/nut allergens. You can bring your unopened, non-perishable food donations to our location on the third floor of the Arlington Mill Community Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. If these times don't work for you, please email info@aspireafterschool.org to coordinate a drop off time.
