Volunteer: Wee Thrive Baby Pantry Volunteer - Bilingual

Arlington Thrive is in need of some Spanish speaking volunteers to help families partake in our Wee Thrive baby pantry!


What You’ll Get to Do

·        Welcome families with kindness and help them choose the baby supplies that best meet their needs.

·        Restock and refresh shelves so the pantry stays organized, inviting, and fully supplied.

·        Spread the word! Help promote pantry services and coordinate community contributions to keep inventory strong.

·        Sort and prepare donations so every item meets our cleanliness and safety standards.

·        Support behind-the-scenes tasks like data entry, check-ins, and light documentation.

·        Share updates or concerns about inventory, safety, or facility needs with the coordinator.

·        Champion our values of compassion, dignity, and equitable service in every interaction.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

·        You’re excited about supporting families with empathy, warmth, and professionalism.

·        You’re comfortable lifting 10–20 lbs (accommodations available).

·        You enjoy keeping things tidy, organized, and running smoothly.

·        You can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information respectfully.

·        You’re dependable, punctual, and happy to work independently or as part of a team.

 

Time Commitment

1 – 2 hours per week Weekly or biweekly schedule options available.

Join us in creating a meaningful impact in our community!   As a Community Outreach Table Volunteer, you will be the friendly face and enthusiastic voice of Arlington Thrive, engaging with families at local events.  This is a wonderful opportunity to represent our mission, share valuable information, and build connections with attendees alongside Arlington Thrive staff.

 

Key Responsibilities:

●       Represent Arlington Thrive with professionalism, enthusiasm, and warmth.

●       Maintain the organization's booth or display area, ensuring it is inviting and well-organized.

●       Engage with event attendees to provide information about our mission, programs, and services.

●       Answer questions, distribute resource information, provide essentials items when appropriate, and collect contact     information as needed for follow up.

●         Provide feedback and insights to the organization after the event to improve future outreach efforts.

 

Skills:

●       Friendly and approachable demeanor.

●       Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

●       Passion for Thrive's mission and a desire to connect with the community.

 

 

Time Commitment:

●    Attend scheduled farmers markets or community events with a Thrive staff member. Dates and times will be provided in advance.  Shifts typically don't last longer than 2 hours.

 

Benefits:

●       Make a tangible difference in the community by promoting Arlington Thrive's mission.
