Volunteer: Food Rescue VolunteerAs a DC Food Rescue volunteer, you'll pick up surplus food from local businesses and deliver it to nearby organizations that serve people experiencing food insecurity. We serve Arlington and most of NoVA, as well as the District and parts of Maryland. You can do rescues by bike or car, and they typically take about an hour from pick-up to drop-off.
