Opportunities From: Volunteer Arlington

Volunteer: Fam-Club: Games & Crafts with Families Overcoming Homelessness!

Join the club--Fam-Club!!  Please make room in your calendars to be part of Fam-Club at The Aya and The Triumph. The Aya is our Ward 6 family shelter and The Triumph is our Ward 8 family shelter.
What: This is a fun and meaningful way for volunteers to make a difference in the lives of young people and their families overcoming homelessness! Volunteers play games, do arts & crafts, and read books with children and families living in Community of Hope's family shelters.

Where and When: We schedule up to six volunteers each session. On Monday and Tuesdays we are at The Aya and on Wednesday and Thursdays we are at The Triumph. Volunteers arrive at 5:30pm and stay until about 8:00pm.

Who: We take individual volunteers or groups (e.g. classes, clubs, social groups, etc.). Volunteers must be at least 14 years old.
Transportation to The Aya: The Aya is located between the Navy Yard and Waterfront Metro stations and is about a 10-minute walk from both stations. There is also some Pay-To-Park and Zone 6 parking available.

Transportation to The Triumph: Plenty of free street parking available. The closest Metro is Congress Heights on the Green Line with a short bus ride from there to the site.
How:  **Please visit our calendar https://communityofhopedc.volunteerhub.com/vv2/ to schedule your shift.  You must register on our calendar for your shift(s) rather than solely on Volunteer Arlington.
Please email our Volunteer Team, volunteer@cohdc.org with any questions or to reserve an evening for your group.

Hope to see you soon!
