Washington Balalaika Society Orchestra

We are the largest orchestra of our kind in the United States. If you read music, we can lend you stringed instruments and teach you to play. We also invite experienced accordion and bayan players. We need an additional experienced percussionist and a timpanist. Visit us at www.balalaika.org

We play music to include performances at Retirement communities, parks, festivals and other places. Our mission is to preserve the music of our folk instrumentation, to educate and to perform on traditional Russian/Ukrainian folk instruments but including some traditional instruments as well. We meet on Wednesday evenings in Arlington.
